Mental health is something that is always taken for granted and is ignored. I Beleive in India around 60% to 70% of young adults go through depressions and anxiety and the saddest thing is they don’t know how to deal with it. they don’t know what are they going through.

When a person is sick from outside they preach to a doctor, but when they are sick from inside they just ignore it.

What is Depression?

Depression is often misunderstood by feeling sad or sadness, but the truth is a person may look happier from outside but suffer depression.

Depression is most common in ages around 18 to 25. The WHO estimates that more than 300 million people worldwide suffer from depression. It’s also the world’s leading cause of disability.

Types of Depression

Depression can be of many types, these are some of the common depressions types:

  1. Major Depressive Disorder
  2. Persistent Depressive Disorder
  3. Bipolar Disorder
  4. Seasonal Depression
  5. Postpartum Depression
  6. Psychotic Depression

How to Deal with Depression?

I am not a professional person, and I cannot guarantee you that these steps will work for you, If your depression is kinda severe I recommend you to visit a doctor.

Open Yourself

Most of the reasons for depressions are due to loneness. Talking to someone you trust and feel comfortable with can help you get relaxed. Sharing your problems with them can help you get solutions for it.

Meditate

When we meditate, we inject far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into our lives. And bonus: you don’t need any extra gear or an expensive membership.

These are some of the benefits you get from meditating:
1. Understand your pain
2. Lower your stress
3. Connect better
4. Improve focus
5. Reduce brain chatter

Exercise

“Exercise improves mood state,” Dr. Thienhaus says. He explains that exercise helps stimulate natural compounds in the body that can make you feel better. Aim for at least 30 minutes of physical activity most days.

These are based on my personal experience. If you don’t see any changes in yourself, you must visit a doctor.
